My new 84 Lesharo

Unread postby cgerrells » Fri Jun 05, 2009 10:31 pm

Bought an 84 TD. Have yet to get it to start, but been working on stripping it to redo it. Had it about 5 days now.

Doing a little gallery of pictures, sort of a running work in progress as I get into this project.

UPDATE! The link has been corrected to point to my new album.

I had a camper van (74 sportsmobile) with a small rust hole by the inside windshield. You know, it blew cool fresh air in my face--was especially nice during night drives.
You have a great opportunity to put it together the way you want. I had a book "How to convert VW bus/Vanagon to Camper". Has a lot of tricks to convert a bare van to a camper.

Sounds like an interesting book. Still look at my holes... deciding what the best way to tackle them is. I think I'm going to have a glass company come over and professionally remove my windshield as it's perfect, and replacing it would be almost as much as I paid for the whole camper. Then, weld new metal in and have them reinstall.

drakelouis29; If you are looking for a LeSharo to buy, look under "the marketplace" on this site. I have a 1986 LeSharo for sale under mloganusda and I am just south of Nashville, TN. My phone number is (615) 459-8060 for more details.
