Re: Western U.S. Rally I bought a Phasar in October. 15k mil

*Bought a Phasar with 15k in October. Idea was to keep our trailer for local camping and use the van to range farther. Sounds like that was a mistake. Feedback appreciated.*

PNW yes. We live in Arlington, 50 miles north of Seattle. There are some very nice parks nearby.

If its an automatic gas no towing. If its a 5 speed gas 1000 lbs towing. The automatic is weak and cant take the extra weight of towing. Diesel I'm not sure if you can tow.

Thanks for your response, but I might have written incorrectly. I pull the
trailer with the pickup, works great. Don't use it to go far, just nice
campgrounds locally. I bought the Phasar so my wife and I could go
farther. What I am seeing is that because of its age we should not trust
the Phasar far from home. I knew it could not be used for towing. The truck
pulling the two and a half ton trailer accelerates faster than the Itasca
by itself.

Age keeps me off the ground and minimum mechanical ability and tools. There
are a couple good shops in town I would have to rely on.

I don't think this is the RV for you, un less you really like it and have deep pockets.

well, I paid too much for it, so resale now would not work. Low miles,
great insides. Runs good. Have a cover on it now, with an appointment in
February to replace roof air gasket. Then I will take to a transmission
shop I have been to. I showed it to them and they have a big outside lift.
There seems to be a slow oil leak. They will look at it, change all the
fluids, oil and fuel filters, and see what else might need work. My wife
and I are comfortable in it, driving it and parking. The truck and trailer
are 45 feet so van is easier, but we camp with grandkids in the summer with
the trailer. I guess we will have to go forward and work it out.
